About So Many Roads

Nature Therapy

We have been removing ourselves from our natural environment and moving into a digital age, which may not be good for our physical and mental well-being. We inherently seek out things like water and other natural materials.

Experiencing nature can reduce blood pressure, stress levels go down, cognitive functioning increases, and it reduces anxiety and depression. This is due to endorphins like oxytocin that are released when we feel connected to our natural world and connected to other people.

I have a MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and in Sociology. I’m currently employed as a provisionally licensed therapist at a private practice in Colorado Springs. I am passionate about connecting with nature and the power behind community, self-awareness, mindfulness, and rational thought.
