About So Many Roads
Nature Therapy
We have been removing ourselves from our natural environment and moving into a digital age, which may not be good for our physical and mental well-being. We inherently seek out things like water and other natural materials because they provide regulation and peace.
Experiencing nature can reduce blood pressure, stress levels go down, cognitive functioning increases, and it reduces anxiety and depression. This is due to endorphins like oxytocin that are released when we feel connected to our natural world and connected to other people.
I have a MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling & in Sociology. I’m currently working as a provisionally licensed therapist and have created So Many Roads to serve our outdoor loving community in Colorado Springs. I am passionate about connecting with nature and the power behind movement, community, self-awareness, and mindfulness. Nature is a safe space for many of us, and if it isn’t already one for you then with So Many Roads it can become one. How beautiful, right? Your safe space, what regulates your nervous system, can be right outside your door.
